This apartment located in a nineteenth-century building had a new interior fitted in the nineties. To restore the original feeling of old Moscow we had to dismantle all the new additions. To make every member of the family feel comfortable, including two children and two dogs, we completely reorganised the layout. The result was a single space uniting the living room and a kitchen, a master bedroom, a two-storey children’s playroom and bedroom, a small drawing room, a bathroom, a guest bathroom, and a small utility room.
Because the clients love old objects as much as we do, there’s a lot throughout the house – from vintage German furniture to nineteenth-century Russian items.
